City elected officials are invited to apply to join the inaugural cohort of the Washington Collaborative Elected Leaders Institute (WA-CELI). This four-month, immersive training program will provide small teams of city elected officials with the collaborative leadership skills to tackle real-world challenges facing our cities and towns. Teams will learn and practice a broad range of strategies to embrace differing viewpoints and build consensus to maximize success. The WA-CELI pilot program is offered by the AWC Center for Quality Communities and the Association of Washington Cities (AWC), in partnership with the Ruckelshaus Center and the University of Washington’s Evans School. The AWC Board of Directors created the Ad Hoc Bylaws Review Committee to evaluate the districts of the AWC Board. The Committee is in the midst of its work and will hold membership listening sessions to provide an overview of AWC Board districts, give updates on the committee’s work, answer questions, and listen to members’ feedback. Sign up for the May 2 member listening session. AWC members are encouraged to attend.
