Each year, the Association of Washington Cities conducts a comprehensive survey of salaries and benefits provided to employees in Washington’s cities and counties. The survey is an important AWC service and provides city and county officials with comparable data to assist them in determining wages and benefits for their staff.
2024 Salary and Benefit Survey has been extended one last time until June 7!
The deadline to complete the 2024 AWC Salary and Benefit Survey has been extended to June 7! This will be the final extension, as our team needs time to finalize the 2024 results for release later this summer.
Please log in and get started or finish up as soon as possible to contribute to this important tool for cities, towns, and counties. If you have questions or need help, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team and we’ll do our best to assist you.
Here are some things you need to know to get started on your organization’s contribution to this important tool:
- Where to find the survey: Access this year’s Salary and Benefit Survey. The survey is open until Friday, June 7.
- Get logged in: The survey requires access granted on your individual AWC website account. Not sure about your login? Use our website to retrieve your user ID or request a password reset.
- Tell us who needs access: Please check this list to see who we have on file for your organization. If others will need access to fill out portions of the survey, email research@awcnet.org.

2023 Salary and Benefit Survey data input is now available!
Access to the reporting tool is provided to AWC member cities and towns, along with public sector AWC Associate Members. In partnership with the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) and Washington Association of County Officials (WACO), county members may also access survey data through the reporting tool. Only individuals representing management are authorized to access the reporting tool.
This year, 84% of the cities and counties in Washington state participated in the survey.
