As part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), cities that receive ARPA funding are required to submit reports to the Treasury Department. The first deadline for these reports is August 31.
There are three types of reports required by Treasury; however, the total population of your city along with your city’s classification under ARPA will determine which reports you are required to submit. The reports are as follows:
- Interim report: Provides an initial overview of your uses of funding by category. Metropolitan cities must submit this report by August 31, 2021 and is a one-time report.
- Project and expenditure report: Provides details on projects funded, expenditures, contracts and subawards over $50,000, and other information. This report is due October 31, 2021 and periodically thereafter.
- Recovery plan performance report: Provides information on the projects that large recipients are undertaking with program funding and how they plan to ensure program outcomes are achieved in an effective, efficient, and equitable
manner. It will include key performance indicators identified by the recipient and some mandatory indicators identified by Treasury.
