The 2019 public records raw data reported to the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC) can now be downloaded from the JLARC Public Records Data Collection System site.
The final report will be released in January 2021.
Local governments and other public agencies who spend over $100,000 in staff and legal costs associated with public records are required to report annually on various performance metrics. JLARC staff prepare a formal report of the public records data,
context about the data collection process, and highlights statewide trends.
