Cities supported the creation of a statewide prescription drug take-back program this past legislative session. Engage with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and local law enforcement on October 27 by participating in a national drug take-back day. Find a local collection site and publicize your take-back day participation with the DEA's provided materials.

L&I carbon monoxide exposure warnings for law enforcement personnel
The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) recently released a warning and prevention guidance for law enforcement employers about the hazards of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. In particular, law enforcement personnel in Washington State have reported signs and symptoms of CO exposure while driving pursuit-rated SUVs.
