WASPC announces mental health co-responder grant
The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) recently opened the grant application period for their new Mental Health Field Response Teams Program. AWC worked closely with WASPC to support and fund this grant last year in the Legislature. This grant will help law enforcement agencies establish and expand capabilities to respond to mental health related issues. AWC encourages cities to apply for this grant. In addition to applying for grant funding, applicants will be demonstrating the need for such funding now and in the future. The application period is open until August 1. More
