Civic Service Awards for 20-year service to cities
Each year, AWC recognizes city officials retiring after 20 or more years of service to cities. Elected officials, city managers and administrators, city clerks, senior department directors, city attorneys, and others who have retired since the 2017 AWC Annual Conference or will retire by December 31, 2018 are eligible. The deadline for notifying AWC of eligible city officials is June 1, 2018. More
WSDOT seeks feedback on network plan
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) invites you to attend a community meeting to discuss long-distance public transportation needs in Washington, or alternately to submit input through an online survey. WSDOT is working on the update to the previous Washington State Intercity and Rural-to-Urban Public Transportation Network Plan, completed in 2007. CERB’s Rural Broadband Program
The Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) is offering workshops throughout the state to introduce the new rural broadband loan and grant program. The workshops will help communities learn whether their project is eligible and a good fit, and how to apply to the loan program for funding. More
How to apply for a Local Records Grant
The next round of Local Government Records Grants begins in July. The Washington State Archives is offering trainings to show you how to apply for grants. The informational sessions cover everything local government agencies will need to know to craft a strong, competitive application for a Local Records Grant. More
