JLARC lodging tax reporting for 2017 now open
Local governments collecting lodging tax are required to report annual expenditures. The Joint Legislative Audit & Review Committee’s system is open for reporting 2017 expenditures, and reports are due by May 30. More
Registration opening soon for State Auditor’s filing workshops
The State Auditor’s Office filing workshops are scheduled for April 10 through May 25, 2018. Get one-on-one assistance with filing annual reports either in person at one of the 15 statewide locations or via Skype/telephone appointment. Registration opens on March 9. More

Washington Voting Rights Act passes Legislature
After a lively and passionate hours-long debate, the House passed SB 6002, but a different version than the Senate-passed bill. On a 29-20 vote, the Senate concurred on March 5 with the House version, and the bill now heads to the Governor's desk for his signature. More
