On January 23, the AWC Board of Directors elected Mayor Norm Childress, Grandview, and Mayor Ron Onslow, Ridgefield, to fill vacant seats for districts 4 and 5 respectively.The City of Spokane also recently appointed Councilmember Candace Mumm to serve as director for District 9. Local Records Grant Program now accepting applications
Cities can now apply online for the Washington State Archives Local Records Grant Program. Grant-funded projects can include technology tools, organization of files, or digital imaging. Only one type of grant project is allowed per grant cycle. Applications for this grant cycle close on February 28, 2018. Another grant cycle will start again in July 2018. More

Call for projects for WSDOT Pedestrian and Bicycle Program & Safe Routes to School Program
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has issued a call for projects for grant funds. For the 2019-21 biennium, program funding is approximately $18 million for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Program, with applications due May 11; and $19 million for the Safe Routes to School Program, with applications due April 27. More
