Lodging tax reporting

The 2013 legislation that maintained most uses of lodging tax revenue, HB 1253, requires cities and counties with a lodging tax to make annual reports to the Joint Legislative Audit & Review Committee (JLARC).

Lodging tax reporting for 2016 expenditures now open

JLARC recently opened the reporting system for 2016 lodging tax expenditures. The system will be open until March 15, 2017, and cities must report 2016 lodging tax expenditures by this deadline.

For more information, please read JLARC’s November 2, 2016, memo to cities and counties here.

Interested in what the 2015 report shows?

Thank you to all of the cities that reported 2015 lodging tax data. Ninety-eight percent of cities and counties receiving lodging taxes complied with the requirement to report on use of the funds.
