The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) released a Request for Input regarding its application process for broadband grant programs through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) released a Request for Input regarding its application process for broadband grant programs through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). NTIA staff are currently developing new forms to streamline the grant application process and expedite the review process for applicants. They invite stakeholders to provide input to help improve NTIA’s forms and overall application process.

Given the challenges that the grant application process can pose for disadvantaged communities, NTIA seeks to make the process more equitable for all potential broadband applicants, including for those with limited resources and/or technical expertise. To do so, NTIA staff created new forms for the application process which will provide structured questions and guidance concerning the type of discrete and structured data required for successful applications. The new forms will create greater efficiencies in the NTIA grant program, resulting in enhanced timing and information accuracy to benefit program applicants.

Submit written comments and recommendations for the proposed information collection on the Office of Financial Management website. There you will find the option to upload an external document, allowing preparation of your input beforehand.
