In light of the current situation surrounding COVID-19, the Joint Legislative Audit & Review Committee (JLARC) has extended the deadline for reporting 2019 data and performance metrics to September 1, 2020.
In light of the current situation surrounding COVID-19, the Joint Legislative Audit & Review Committee (JLARC) has extended the deadline for reporting 2019 data and performance metrics to September 1, 2020.
Cities and towns that spend over $100,000 in staff and legal costs associated with maintaining public records and responding to public records requests must submit an annual report of key metrics to JLARC. Cities and towns that spend less than $100,000 in staff and legal costs associated with public records are not required to report to JLARC but are asked to voluntarily submit key metrics.
The public records reporting system opened on April 8. JLARC provided a guidance document as well as instructions for cities on how to properly submit data.
