Two revised water system publications are now available to read.

Water System Planning Guidebook

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) developed a draft revision of their Water System Planning Guidebook and would like to hear from you. After reviewing the draft guidebook, please fill out the survey with any questions, suggested edits, and comments.

You can provide up to ten comments in one survey response and may fill out multiple surveys if you have more edits or suggestions. You can also save the survey and come back to it later. Comments are due by December 11, 2019.

Water System Design Manual

DOH has recently published the fourth edition of the Water System Design Manual and is now available on DOH’s Water System Design webpage.

It is very similar to the draft released in late 2018. That said, DOH made several changes based on the feedback received from water system staff, consulting engineers, and other partners involved in providing safe and reliable drinking water to the people of Washington. If you have any questions or concerns, contact DOH’s Sam Perry.
