Motorized foot scooter bill passes Legislature

<a target="_blank" href="https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=1772&amp;Chamber=House&amp;Year=2019"><strong>HB 1772</strong></a> concerning motorized foot scooters, was passed by the Legislature last week after the House concurred on amendments made in the Senate.

HB 1772 concerning motorized foot scooters, was passed by the Legislature last week after the House concurred on amendments made in the Senate. The bill establishes a regulatory framework for motorized foot scooters and motorized scooter share companies. The bill provides flexibility for local governments to regulate the operation of scooters within their jurisdictions and was supported by AWC.

The bill is now on its way to the Governor for signature.
