AWC took to the twittersphere last week to highlight city infrastructure needs during National Infrastructure Week. Tweets focused on Washington cities’ overall infrastructure needs:

Throughout Infrastructure Week, government officials were encouraged to reach out to:

  • Local media;
  • Policymakers; and
  • Residents to tell their infrastructure stories.

While Infrastructure Week has come to a close, it is not too late to reach out to your local media and policymakers and share with them your cities infrastructure needs. An example is applying for the 2018 CDBG grants through the Washington State Department of Commerce.

As AWC looks towards the 2019 session, we encourage local governments to tell their stories early and often. With renewed efforts to revitalize the Public Works Trust Fund, now is the time to highlight your city’s infrastructure needs.

Now is the time to highlight your city’s infrastructure needs.
