Apply to serve on the state’s Public Works Board

Contact: Alicia Seegers Martinelli

The Governor’s Office seeks two city representatives to serve on the Public Works Board: 1) an elected official; 2) a public works manager. Per statute, AWC will nominate at least six people to be considered for these appointments. Appointment to the board is made by the Governor.

The Public Works Board assists local governments in addressing local infrastructure needs through a dedicated local funding pool, existing as a revolving local program, to be managed by a citizens’ board comprised of local infrastructure representatives. Learn more about the Public Works Board.

Application process

AWC’s Board of Directors will review materials at its February 2019 meeting and submit nominees to the Governor’s Office. Those interested in serving on the board must complete both steps below:

  2. Complete the application for gubernatorial appointment. This application is sent directly to the Governor’s Office and it will not be part of the materials reviewed by the AWC Board of Directors.
