There are some benefits that don’t show up in an insurance plan book. Many carriers (Regence/Asuris, Kaiser, VSP, The Standard, and ComPsych) have benefits that they automatically add-on to all the plans they offer. These can take the form of everything from discounts on popular non-covered programs to additional services. Below are some of the additional programs offered by Trust carriers. Regence/Asuris Advantages: Regence and Asuris have partnered with various providers to offer discounts on a wide variety of health-related products and services including pharmacy discounts, fertility, pet care, and more.

Kaiser Permanente: Kaiser offers a program called ChooseHealthy to provide discounts on equipment and services for members.

Vision Service Plan: VSP has discounts for many eye-related items, but members are also eligible for “extra” discounts including hearing aids and the free VSP SimpleValues program which includes health and wellness, home and financial wellbeing, and even leisure and lifestyle discounts.

The Standard: Travel assistance is bundled into the basic life insurance benefit. The services are free to the employee or any member of an employee’s family and includes pre-trip assistance as well as help during a trip (finding medical care, legal assistance, emergency evacuation, document replacement, and repatriation of remains).

ComPsych: People most associate the EAP with counseling benefits. While this is true, ComPsych also provides other services as well as multiple discount programs.
