AWC Trust 2020 plan changes

Great news for cities! The Employee Benefit Trust Board of Trustees finalized the 2020 plan changes.

Plan changes

Regence/Asuris (All plans except Medicare Advantage)

• Hearing exam added – Covers an annual routine exam
• Hearing aid allowance added – Covers up to $1,500 every three calendar years

Kaiser (All plans except Medicare Advantage)

• Hearing aid allowance added – Covers up to $1,500 every 36 months
  Note: All Kaiser plans currently cover an annual routine hearing exam

Regence/Asuris/Kaiser – All plans except Medicare Advantage

• Weight management program added
  • Offered through Naturally Slim
  • Enrolled employees and spouses are eligible
  • Able to sign up during a communicated enrollment period
  • Covered as preventive care at no cost

LEOFF 1 Regence Medicare Advantage

• Hearing exam added
  • $45 copay if utilize TruHearing
  • Up to $150 covered for any other provider
• Hearing aid benefit added
  • Must use TruHearing
  • Standard hearing aids – $599 copay annually per ear
  • Premium hearing aids – $899 copay annually per ear
